Care for Dogs?

Care for Dogs is a foundation for homeless dogs in need. Our main aim is to improve the situation of street and temple dogs by organizing sterilizations, dog rescues, and adoptions as well as running a shelter for approx. 100 – 120 adult dogs and puppies in Chiang Mai.

 

We are currently looking for a pro-active, motivated, and reliable

 

                            Shelter Coordinator Thai (80 – 100 %)

 

who will be running the shelter for all matters in Thai together with our Shelter Coordinator English who is mainly handling all English contacts. This team will be responsible for the following tasks:

 

·         Organizing and taking part in medical care, vaccinations etc. at the shelter

·         Organizing vet trips for medical checks and sterilizations

·         Responsible for purchase of food, medicine, and shelter supplies

·         Introducing and coordinating volunteers

·         Being present and knowledgeable for adoption appointments

·         Introducing the shelter to visitors

·         Updating medical records and shelter list

·         Organizing school visits

·         Delegating tasks to and being responsible for 3 shelter staff

 

People from different professional backgrounds will be considered for this position, but the following basic requirements should be fulfilled:

 

·         Good organizational skills

·         Great communication and motivation skills

·         Fluency in Thai and English is a Must

·         “Hands on” personality

·         Must love dogs

·         Medical experience with animals an advantage
