Testing for genetic problems

Do Veterinarians in Thailand have the ability to do x-rays for Hip Dysplasia? If so, is there an organization like OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) http://www.offa.org This organization is where all x-rays are graded. A number is provided to certify our dogs hips are not affected by hereditary disease. We find it necessary to do the x-rays to rule out the problem as some dog's who are affected do not show signs of dysplasia. Others look like they are afflicted but in truth the problem was not dysplasia. Additionally, we find many breeds with a straight stifle ( less angle in knee) like Chows, Shibas, Akita, TRD, etc.... have problems with Subluxated Patellas. Patellar Luxation is congenital, inheritable condition where the kneecap dislocates out of its normal position when stress is applied to the knee.

There is one organization in Thailand  , The German Shepherd Dog Association of Thailand (GDAT), who has been doing this for its members, according to the SV(Germany) rules for 33 years.  The GDAT will also do for other breeds upon request. As far as I know , at the moment , there is only one other breed requested for the Hip & Elbow Dysplasia approval ...the Rottweiler, started a couple years ago.
